SPONSORING A TEAM
Sponsoring a team is a great way to support not only the
Brunswick Dixie Youth League, but more importantly the
children who enjoy playing the great American game of
baseball. Any individual or organization can sponsor a
team. Team sponsors have their names and logos placed on
the front of the team's uniforms plus they receive a
plaque with the team's picture at the end of the season.
You can also show your support by purchasing ad space on
either of the fences surrounding the fields. Please
visit our sponsor page
to learn more about current sponsors and supporters as
well as information on becoming a sponsor or supporter
of Brunswick Dixie Youth League. |

DIXIE YOUTH LEAGUE HERITAGE
The Brunswick Dixie Youth League has a very proud
heritage in baseball. Many of the ball players who grow
up in our Dixie Youth Ball Program move on to Middle and
High School as well as college ball programs.
The park started with a
regulation minor league playing field with a tiered
seating grand stand situated behind home plate. The
park, known as Sonny Wholey Memorial Park, is named
after Sonny Wholey who played with the Lawrenceville
Cardinals in the Virginia League in 1948.
Over the years, the park
ahs grown to include a softball / T-ball field. Future
growth and improvements includes a new concession stand
/ field house for the Spring 2009. |
